Marc, whose career began in 1978, has been at the forefront of home infusion since its earliest days, shaping clinical practices, building companies and championing collaboration across the field.
Beginning his career in drug information and parenteral nutrition at the Medical College of Virginia, his early work in nutrition support naturally led him into home infusion. He went on to found his first home infusion company in Lubbock, Texas, at a time when at-home IV therapy was still uncharted. From teaching patients to manage their own IV nutrition to working with glass bottles and early equipment, Marc’s experiences reflect the pioneering innovation that helped build the field.
Marc also reflects on how the industry grew alongside the formation of the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA), where he helped shape early standards and elevate the credibility of home infusion. He shares insights from his leadership roles at organizations like Bioscript and Omnicare, underscoring the importance of mentorship, collaboration and strong professional relationships in strengthening the infusion community.
